The idea is to play hundreds of instruments, samples, effects and loops, and such like, on your acoustic guitar.

Features include eight pressure sensitive touch pads, which you can assign to any MIDI instrument or sound effect or sample.

There are ten preset buttons, which you can customise, with up to 25 presets for quick access during or between songs.

There are also two looper channels that you can use to live record, trigger or stop loops from your guitar.

Finally there are two sliders to “modulate the intensity of your sounds and effects while playing”.

You have got to be super skilled to take advantage of the effects, though. Check out the video below.

I can imagine, like with a synth, a novice could be as eager as a kid in a sweet shop, but to make really effective music would take a lot more discipline. In the video they are providing a beat-box effect with spare fingers. No mean feat.

The creators successfully raised €296,922 on , from 1,204 backers, at the end of last year.

You can pre-order a unit for €269.00, and shipping will start in June 2016.
